Precious Hands was started in 1990 with the goal of helping Guatemalan people make an honest living and grow. The company works closely with artisans in helping with assembly, selling and the donation of tools in making these gorgeous bags. Even more traditionally the colorfully embroidered portions of the bags were originally part of a Mayan women's traditional blouse called a Huipil. Each bag is one of a kind and each truly special and unique in its own way. I absolutely love these bags aside from how beautiful they are, its a great feeling knowing that you get to enjoy your bag and in part helping someone in need as well.
